Kamas
The Kama is the official currency in Dofus. You must work hard to save little money. Fortunately, there are other ways to amassing wealth. Monster attacks and thefts are only a couple of solutions amongst them.
Shops
Shops and their owners welcome you to buy potions, drinks, but also weapons and various items. You can buy or sell anything. Don't forget to do some shopping before you go on adventure.
Temples
Your character belongs to a specific class. As such, he can buy or sell various items in the temples dedicated to his class. That's also where he'll obtain precious information on his class and himself.
Factories
To knead bread, chop wood, carve bows, scythe wheat and tailor clothes are as many activities which provides the best prices on raw materials. You can buy or sell, but you can especially learn a profession.
Buying and selling
Your character can sell or buy diverse items to/from NPCs (Non-Playable Characters). He can also do the same with other players. Transaction is then free and the only law of supply and demand will fix the price... unless you can prove yourself to be convincing.
Barter
Everyone does not have a stash of Kamas... So, to survive, you can also resort to bartering. For instance, the foul-smelling Gobball skin you killed with your bare hands, and which tends to be too heavy for you to carry around, could be of use when negotiating with a tailor looking for raw material.
Merchant Mode
When you're not connected, you can still earn Kamas. Thanks to the Merchant Mode, you can sell items or the creations of one of your characters at your own preset price. Your character then works like a real NPC and keeps this function until you're back online or your "shop" is sold out.
